The Seattle Juggling Festival is coming back the the Seattle Center for FOUR FULL DAYS of juggling and skill toy excitement.
This is a FREE festival to attend and there will be free WIFI
Here's what we've put together so far:
The Flying Karamazov Brothers will be teaching a workshop on the relationship between music and juggling. Members of the troupe will discuss the rhythm components of toss juggling and the notations used to describe it.
Scotty Meltzer will be emceeing the public show and teaching two workshops:
1. Comedy Writing
2. Markets and Pricing for professional jugglers
The Mud Bay Jugglers will be performing in the public show
The Cascade Jugglers will lead a passing workshop that will provide instruction on the Seattle Shuffle, the Victoria Secret, the Boxy-I-Y, the 4-person Turbo and Morgan's Mess - all passing and moving patterns that were developed or modified in the NorthWest.
Joe Showers will lead a workshop on Kendama and ring juggling and lead a Kendama Battle
Jason Garfield will lead a three-day master class focused on technical juggling practice techniques including the following topics:
Practice Fundamentals and Structure, Form, SiteSwaps, Overhead Throws, Club Control, Backcrosses (Balls and clubs), 180s, 360s, Body Throws, High Numbers Juggling, The Shower Pattern
(Workshop will be limited to 20 students and cost will $150.00 per student. To sign up, email your intention to attend the workshops to [email protected])
WJF 7.5 will be held at the festival and provide a technical juggling outlet with WJF superstars such as Vova & Olga Galchenko, Jon Brady, Nathan Herz, and others. Plus the WJF will hold a Junior Overall Championship.
WJF's Maximum OverDrive will feature top level WJF competitors demonstrating some of their most difficult juggling moves in a 30-40 minute nonstop action packed technical juggling showcase.
Public Show After Party for everyone with FREE food and beverages on Saturday night after the public show
Plus Renegade, Vova Galchenko's workshop and lots of other workshops for skills such as hula hoop and knot tying
